It's Almost Time

-
Oh yeah, we all do it at one time or another. We decide it's time to lose weight and we start searching for the best diet plan around. Or we join a gym and swear that this is the time that we make it work. This is about the point where we ALL go, "OK, but where do I start? What is best for me? What should I REALLY do?"

Trust me we've all asked the same questions and, for the majority of us, we have come to the same conclusion. How should I know???? This is where we give up, go back to our old routine, and dread the coming of summer.

The best way to get started is to see where you are now. Do you want to lose five pounds? Lose ten pounds? Or lose fifty pounds? You have to make this decision and it is something that you have to decide right away. Statistics claim that 65% of people are overweight. Do you fall in that category? There are lots of websites out there that can give you an idea of your BMI, or Body Mass Index. Your BMI can give you a good starting point to how much weight you may need to lose. But remember, this is not the end all and be all of your starting point for weight loss. You may only want to lose five or ten pounds for your wedding or to fit into that special swimsuit you bought for the cruise.
No matter what, you need a plan. Look at this as a battle and make sure you have your battle plan before the first shots are fired.
After you decide where you need to go, you need map out a plan to get there. Some things you need to consider. How much do I want to lose? How fast do I want to lose this weight? What is the best way for ME? This really is all about you. Some people can lose weight easily while others have a hard time even dropping 1-2 pounds. The more difficult it is for you to lose weight the harder you will have to work to not only lose weight but to keep the weight off once you have lost it. Dedication and motivation are up to you. Exercise, diets, and other weight loss plans only work if YOU are ready to make the changes necessary to make it happen.

This is the simplest and the hardest part of the process. Yes I know it sounds like an oxymoron but it really depends on you simply deciding to make changes and sticking to your plan. There are a number of great plans out there to help you along your way. Most of all stay focused and you can finally make it happen for you.
